Reflective practice is increasingly being considered a critical dimension of professional development and a key component of emotional intelligence for many emerging leaders.

There are huge benefits in increasing self-awareness, which is a key component of emotional intelligence, and in developing a better understanding of others.

Reflective practice can also help you to develop creative thinking skills, and encourages active engagement in work processes.

It is vital for emerging leaders to be able to scrutinise their values, goals and ambitions in order to increase self-knowledge, alignment, authenticity, and learning and growth.

Learning the art of self-reflection will accelerate improvement in leadership skills and practice – and enables better understand others.
